Custom HDPE / corrugated pipe

Custom Double-Station Pipe Coiler

Torque-motor winding with reel geometry selected for your pipe and coil format.

A custom double-station coiler mainly for 20–63 mm HDPE pipe and 40–125 mm single- or double-wall corrugated pipe. Its design production speed is selected within 5–20 m/min for the project, with a 112-6-4 torque motor or another custom torque-motor configuration.

How this coiler fits your production.

Product description

This double-station pipe coiler is configured around the pipe construction, required production speed and finished-coil geometry. The main HDPE pipe range is 20–63 mm; 75 mm HDPE pipe is supported specifically by the version with a 1,800 mm reel inside diameter. Single- and double-wall corrugated pipe from 40 to 125 mm can also be considered against the actual profile and bending requirements. A design production speed is selected within 5–20 m/min when the project is specified; this does not mean every supplied machine has a continuous adjustment range from 5 to 20 m/min. Reel inside diameter can adjust down to 530 mm, while the custom maximum is chosen within 1,200–1,800 mm. Typical axial reel width adjusts from 400 to 530 mm. The typical maximum winding-arm height is approximately 450 mm and describes the radial coil build allowance, not the axial width. The drive uses a 112-6-4 torque motor or another torque motor selected for the agreed configuration.

Suitable pipe applications

Designed around the material.

Pipe stiffness, surface finish and bend radius are checked before the winding head and guide geometry are finalized. Check the supported pipe range in the specifications below.

The 5–20 m/min figures describe the range for selecting a custom design speed, not a continuous speed-adjustment range guaranteed on every machine. A 530 mm minimum reel inside diameter is separate from the project-selected maximum of 1,200–1,800 mm. The 75 mm HDPE application requires the 1,800 mm reel-ID configuration. Typical 400–530 mm axial width and approximately 450 mm maximum winding-arm height are different dimensions. Confirm the target coil length and finished-coil outside diameter for the project; no capacity is inferred from these dimensions.

Machine structure

Essential components, clearly arranged.

01

Two winding stations

The double-station arrangement is configured for the specified pipe and coil package. Cutting, transfer between stations and finished-coil handling are agreed as separate parts of the operating workflow.

02

Custom reel inside diameter

The minimum adjustable reel inside diameter is 530 mm. The custom maximum is selected within 1,200–1,800 mm; the 1,800 mm reel-ID version supports the stated 75 mm HDPE application.

03

Reel width and winding arms

Typical axial reel width is adjustable from 400 to 530 mm. The typical maximum winding-arm height is approximately 450 mm, describing radial coil build allowance rather than axial width.

04

Torque-motor drive

The drive uses a 112-6-4 torque motor or another custom torque motor. The selected drive and electrical configuration are reviewed against the project design speed and actual pipe; motor power and rated torque are confirmed separately.

How to select

Four checks before quotation.

  1. Provide the HDPE outside diameter and wall thickness, or the single- or double-wall corrugated pipe material and profile drawing. Confirm the pipe producer’s bending limits before selecting the coil format.
  2. Specify the required production speed so the machine can be designed for a value within 5–20 m/min. Agree the actual operating adjustment range for that configuration rather than assuming the full design-selection range.
  3. Choose the reel inside diameter and project maximum within 1,200–1,800 mm. Specify the 1,800 mm reel-ID version for 75 mm HDPE; review axial width, radial coil build, target length and finished-coil outside diameter together.
  4. Confirm the 112-6-4 or custom torque motor, plant voltage and frequency, floor layout, cutting and station-transfer method, coil securing and unloading workflow before finalizing the configuration.
Integration checklist

Confirm the line interfaces.

  • Project-selected design speed and torque-motor configuration
  • Custom maximum reel inside diameter within 1,200–1,800 mm
  • Target coil length, outside diameter and handling requirements for review
  • Plant electrical supply and cutting, transfer and unloading workflow

FAQ

Common selection questions.

Which pipe sizes can this custom coiler handle?

The main HDPE pipe outside-diameter range is 20–63 mm. The version with a 1,800 mm reel inside diameter can also wind 75 mm HDPE pipe; this is not a capability of every configuration. Single- and double-wall corrugated pipe from 40 to 125 mm is also supported, subject to review of the actual pipe profile and bending requirements.

Does every machine have a continuous speed range of 5–20 m/min?

No. The design production speed is customized to a selected value within 5–20 m/min. The actual operating adjustment range is agreed for the chosen machine and drive configuration; the design-selection range is not a promise that every machine continuously adjusts from 5 to 20 m/min.

Is every reel adjustable from 530 to 1,800 mm inside diameter?

No. The minimum adjustable reel inside diameter is 530 mm, but the maximum is customized to a value within 1,200–1,800 mm. Specify the required maximum when ordering. The stated 75 mm HDPE application requires the version with a 1,800 mm reel inside diameter.

How do reel width and winding-arm height differ?

Typical axial reel width is adjustable from 400 to 530 mm. The typical maximum winding-arm height is approximately 450 mm and describes the radial allowance for coil build thickness, not the axial width. Confirm both dimensions with the reel inside diameter and intended finished coil.

Which motor is used and what should be confirmed before quotation?

The machine uses a 112-6-4 torque motor or another custom torque motor. The model designation alone does not state a confirmed motor power or rated torque here. Provide the pipe specification, required design speed, coil dimensions and target length, plant electrical supply and handling workflow so the motor and complete configuration can be agreed.
